You said, we did Officers have been carrying out road safety and traffic enforcement patrols in the Wadhurst area as part of ongoing efforts to address community concerns around road safety and anti-social driving in the area.
During patrols this week, officers observed the vehicle pictured being driven in an anti-social manner and conducted a stop check.
Subsequent enquiries revealed the driver did not hold a valid driving licence nor any insurance; as a result, the vehicle was seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act.
We encourage residents to report concerns as they happen, all reports help us target patrols and enforcement activity where it is needed most to help keep our roads safe.
A tree-mendous obstacle…🌳 We're extending our thanks to a local resident who helped us out over the weekend in Hadlow Down after a tree fell and blocked the road and left us in a bit of a sticky situation!
Thankfully a nearby member of the community was quick to arrive with a chainsaw and equipment, helping to clear the tree and help get the road reopened safely.
Your support was greatly appreciated by both locals and police, helping get the road reopened quickly and allowing us to return to policing duties without delay 🤲
Criminal damage and anti-social behaviour in Wadhurst. We are aware of an increase in anti-social behaviour around Sparrows Green Recreation Ground, Wadhurst.
We have seen smashed glass, burnt benches, and damage to toilet equipment.
ASB will not be tolerated, and we are working to solve this issue. We will be increasing patrols in this area so feel free to have a chat with us when you see us around.
If you or anybody in the area witnesses this type of behaviour, please report it by phoning 101 (or 999 if a crime is in action) so we can respond accordingly.
Keep your home safe this Summer ☀️ With the weather warming up again this week, it may be tempting to leave windows and doors open - but please don't give burglars an easy way in.
Always close windows and doors when you leave.
To help protect yourself this Summer whether you are home, long weekend away, or planning a trip, please take the time to review your home security measures, small steps can make all the difference.
Call it out 🗣️ We all have a role to play, if you are concerned about someone or suspect domestic abuse, including coercive or controlling behaviour - please tell us.
You will not be wasting our time; you can stay anonymous and it doesn’t have to be a formal report, and your call could help protect someone from harm!
It can be hard for those in the centre of domestic abuse to make that call. We have seen time and time again that a stranger or a friend/family member making that call can save lives.
-A neighbour that hears shouting and screaming but doesn’t want to cause trouble.
If you are a victim, or you witness any behaviour that could constitute domestic abuse, please report to us online or via 101 - you are not alone, we are here for you.
Always dial 999 in an emergency.
